== standing within the hot forge ==
: says to ALL:.... I moved from the Meadow into the forge looking around and smilling with a nod
The fire was raging in with the lifting of the air that was forced to bring the coal to a red glow that fiercely hissed with the claiming of the air…. Silently I shifted to the side letting my shirt fall of my shoulders and rest on a chair, the weather was hot and the summer brought beads of sweat to dance from my body and now the fire of the forge brought me to even feel the heat more….
I shifted over to the side and took the two swords that Pel had given me yesterday to fix the edge and to sharpen. The first of the weapons began to drift into the hotness as then my foot began to use the wooden petal to force more air into the heat to bring the fire to a raging height…
The steel began to glow with a bright red… and hence was brought to my anvil; I held the sword with my left hand by its hilt and began to raise the hammer with my right dropping the tool over the steel in a loud clucking noise…. The 21 inch short sword shifted back and forth several times and was worked on, the small kinks began to fade away and steel was starting to be smooth again, if this Man was not going to slow down He will be through this sword in No time… I smiled to myself and shoved the sword into water…. Then back into the fire….
The sword was not brought to a stone meant for sharpening… I stared to tap the pedal to bring the round tool to rolling along and with a tender brush of the steel to the moving roundel the small sparks of metal began to fly about in a crimson hiss…. The sword was being tilted up and down and turned from left to right… then it was lifted to my keen eye, I grinned as the weapon began to shine in a bright silver again…. My finger gently brushed over the edge as then a smile drifted over my face of the sharpness of the Weapon once again…
The sword was placed back into the sheath that held it secure, the leather was strapped to a peg in the wall as My task was now the 2 foot throwing axe with a bearded head, this task surely was going along just as smooth as the sword did… being a skilled weapon smith… I smiled and worked on the weapon with a eagerness to get things done, I was surely a deep believer of a Man fighting better with His Own weapons then those barrow from another… times had been hard and I was awaiting a returned raid from Port Kar, knowing Joe kind of got a good deal from them… I chuckled at my own thoughts as I left the forge with my work done
