Climb the depths.
The cold bleak angry morning came face to face with the climber as they looked and regarded each other, one with contempt the other with a low respect of the fall. Is it right to seek so high and push so far with the knowledge that the higher one climbs the further one can fall. Only the one that seeks to climb I guess may answer the question of the worth of the risk for the goal of the achieved. It starts, as all things do, not with a great goal but with a single step followed by another. The soft rock making the easy going of the simple way forth, this is the lure of the accent, the easy path that leads to the challenge. Pushing the heart rate past the first comfort zone of the steady beating to drag it further with the testament of ones own will past what is known. The factors around the steps effect the effort and the will, the wind and rain as too the shine and the clouds of majestic view. Sights that make the soul soar and heart weep with a bounding all invoking blanket of tangible bliss. Tread light young traveler on the climb and lose not the sight of the pit that falls behind as you set your sights on such a lofty height. The small rocks that now may seem so far below and the rope that you use and have given of your, trust holds dear to your life.
The rope taken in each step and the friend you have found as with each step gives growth to the climb as does each pull give trust on the rope. Trust being a most powerful thing that can become something a climber relies upon too much. One day that rope may well not be as strong or secure as first imagined and then the climber falls. How far and how fast one can never say and not always does a fall mean the end of the climber or even the climb but after a fall that same climb is never quite the same again.
Does that mean that one should no longer try to climb, after a fall from grace, perhaps it is more important to climb after a fall than it is to have never tried to climb in the first place. The is the hold of the duplicitous climb, that of the mind and that of the body as each works and fights with the other in tandem. All things fluctuate and as one gives way so the other takes the weight of the last, the will being the only constant required to succeed in anything. Many factors help and hinder, hope, a boosting driving element of the human psyche of fortitude and purpose and the removal of hope counters the will to look deeply into the vast expanse of the void of despair. The body grows in strength from repartition of action of greater and greater force, so to it must be said of the soul; the more we do the right thing the easier it becomes to repeat the right thing. A workout for ones own morality and integrity, as with the body, some strain and even injury happens from time to time and this is when your own will, focus and desire play the key elements to your success.
Armed with the knowledge of the past, a map of the future and desire of a goal, you make your way slowly up the climb. The idea is not to reach the peak and defeat the mountain but to feel as one with the features and take time to submerge and
