Seeing as though this has gone public, i would like to say my piece..

it is kinda hard for rekki to roleplay.. seeing as though she is chained in Masters cabin...

i will say that she doesn't cause trouble, she asked nura a simple question, in pm.. and was treated with disdain and disrespect by both You and nura for doing so... and if You really must know, i asked rekki on msn to ask nura why she would bathe in the kitchen.. and only came in when i heard the reply rekki recieved..

i didn't start on anyone.. i simply offered other ways in which nura could bathe... i don't care if it is supposed Viking times, there is no need to bathe in the kitchen where food is prepared... when there is hotsprings or other places to do so.

not being of the Home but I want to say what I think on this matter for I was in the room. yes I agree a slave wouldn't bath in the Kitchen where the food is perpaired. but saying this there is probelly a room of the Kitchen for just this purpose.

I have seen this.....from before this to after....including the pm's.
I have spoken to Wit and will speak to Joe and/or Nyah....

Both My girls would have asked, knowing full well I would have their asses if they did such.....the question did not justify the reaction IMO.....it was inflamatory...and it worked....and the rest simply tumbled from there.....happy to produce the post for any who need see it...but see no need to add to this any further.

This is just my little bit of a say and trivia here so please indulge me:

Before electricity and before hot water was piped into kitchens, bathrooms etc, the way most people bathed was in a portable bath tub, a metal container, I think most of us has seen them in the western movies. Unless it was the Master or Mistress or they family or guests bathing, the servants/slaves would have bathed in that bath tub in the kitchen mostly, some places did have a room for the tub to be in but most didnt. The reason you bathed in the kitchen is easy access to the pots/kettles/cauldrans of hot water were there on the fire stove so there wasnt far for the water to be carried, it was also easier to empty the tub, either by bucket or the tub was dragged to the back door and tipped up and emptied that way.

I have seen in the role play that before the bonds serve they go wash they hands then do the serve, to be realistic here the bonds if in real life wouldnt have done that unless they had been working and they hands were muddy or have other stuff upon them. How many of you wash your hands before making a cup of coffee in real life? Also as there was no running water in the Torvalds, if the bonds did wash they hands it would have probably been in the same bowl that the dishes were washed in and probably in the same water. Hygiene as we know it now just never existed.

I think that this whole thing got blown out of perspective, what we all need to realise is that we are not role playing in modern times with modern health standards or ways of doing things and we should all lighten up and start enjoying our role play more. We are all here to have fun and enjoy our role playing, not to be caught up with petty issues.

The only issue I have here is the disrespect shown to Witness, it doesnt matter what the slaves think of Witness she is still a FW and deserves to be shown respect from all slaves and when she says enough, that should be it. Witness tried to bring order to the room but wasnt obeyed, what must have our visitors who were in the room at the time thought, watching the disrespect the slaves had for a FW. All the bond maidens need to realise that they are slaves, they are subjected to the ways of the Free are given no other option but to obey, its as simple as that.

So how about we all "chill out" as a certain High Jarl keeps telling us and lets get back to what we do best, role playing and having fun. Hulneth is the best role playing room on HTML, so how about we keep it that way?

heya hun...you have missed the point.. having a bath or not was the least part of it but yes the norse did have just the one room, long house, the first open plan house I guess. I could even pick my own rp apart bit by bit if I wished and anyone elses. This was about a dispute and power.. that, is mine and I will not have a Free challanged in my home.

If I sat and watched people rp and pulled them on EVERY detail -s- see where am going with this? good.
